The negative impact of traditional (hydrocarbon) energy sources has been well documented, with effects permeating to some of the world’s most pristine environments. For most countries of the Caribbean region, these effects are potentially damning due to our reliance on traditional energy sources, and our main export commodity - tourism. Renewable Initiatives has placed its focus on renewable energy as its contribution to efforts on preservation.
We intend to be at the forefront of development & implementation of renewable technologies. Our focus will be solar and wind energy generation.

Solar Power
Sunlight can be converted into electricity using various technologies. Large-scale generation from solar power though not uncommon, the implementations are rare. Photovoltaics presents an excellent option for residential and commercial customers within the Caribbean islands. With the support of governmental policies & R&D funding, the opportunity here is great to support a greater level of energy security.

Wind power
Wind power is a large-scale, reliable source of power. Development within the Caribbean is in its infancy stage. The gains to be realised from addition of electrical generating capacity due to wind farms are huge.
